The Brief

Sontronics is a respected British audio brand known for their high-quality microphones used in music, broadcast, and podcasting. They approached me to create a slick, professional product video for their Podcast Pro microphone — aimed at both hobbyist creators and serious broadcasters.

The goal was to produce a clean, studio-style showcase video that would visually communicate the mic's premium design, sturdy build, and audio credibility — while feeling sharp, modern, and made for content creators.

The Creative Approach

The project combined cinematic product visuals with a talking head interview featuring Trevor Hill, CEO and founder of Sontronics. Trevor shared expert insight into what makes the Podcast Pro unique, adding personality and authority to the video.

  • 🎤 Talking Head Interview with CEO: Filmed with professional lighting and audio, Trevor Hill gave an on-camera breakdown of the mic’s key features, build quality, and ideal use cases — perfect for building brand trust and authority.

  • 💡 Cinematic Lighting: Used bold contrast and focus to give the video a premium, studio-tech aesthetic.

  • After Effects Motion Graphics: Animated callouts and subtle overlays supported key specs like cardioid pattern, frequency range, and USB/XLR compatibility.

  • 🎧 Sound-Sync Editing: Cut to music and voice in a way that emphasised the mic’s core strength — audio excellence.

The Result

The final video was a polished, high-impact piece of branded content used across Sontronics' website, YouTube, email marketing, and retail partner platforms. It successfully positioned the Podcast Pro as a reliable, professional mic for podcasters, streamers, and broadcasters alike.
